Have you ever wondered if your dog really does miss you when you’re away? Dogs have feelings too! My dog doesn’t like to be alone. He always likes to be around someone and never really takes much time to himself. He’s definitely a people person!
Do Dogs Miss Their Owners?
Dogs miss people. Whether it’s their pet parent or a friend of the family that they haven’t seen in a while. I can tell my dog misses us when we’re away. You can see it in the way that he acts when the person returns or he gets to see or hear the person after not seeing them for a while. We have a blended family so our oldest daughter isn’t with us all of the time. Do you think Simba notices? He sure does. When she comes back, he’s so over the moon to see her! It’s the most precious thing. He’ll run up on her and it’s like he’s trying to jump in her arms!
When she’s away, we FaceTime a lot. Do you think Simba realizes we’re talking to her? He sure does! He’ll even make sure he can see her. When he hears her voice, his tail gets to wagging and he gets all excited. He even tries to touch her through the phone! He is too cute! I love the bond they share. He’s so close with her and he truly misses her when she’s gone.
